Sustainability starts with everyday actions, and at ZIN Green, responsible waste management is part of our daily commitment. Through the Teba Modern composting system, organic waste generated across our property is transformed into nutrient-rich compost instead of ending up in landfills. This approach reflects our dedication to creating a more sustainable hospitality experience while supporting a cleaner and greener Bali.

The process begins with careful waste separation. Organic waste is collected from different areas of the property and transported to our Teba Modern composting area. Proper sorting at the source ensures that only biodegradable materials enter the composting process, helping maintain efficiency while reducing unnecessary waste.

Every three days, the compost is carefully turned to improve airflow and distribute naturally occurring microorganisms throughout the pile. This simple but essential step helps accelerate decomposition, creating the ideal conditions for organic matter to break down naturally. After turning the compost, a fresh layer of newly collected organic waste is added, allowing the composting cycle to continue continuously.

The final step is topped with used coffee grounds from the ZIN Cafe roastery. Rather than being discarded, the coffee grounds are repurposed as a natural cover that helps stabilize odors while supporting the composting process. It’s a practical example of how one waste stream can become a valuable resource within a circular system.

At ZIN Green, waste is viewed as an opportunity to give back to nature. By combining thoughtful waste separation, the Teba Modern composting method, and the reuse of coffee grounds, we reduce environmental impact while promoting sustainable tourism in Bali. Every small action contributes to a healthier ecosystem, proving that meaningful change begins with the choices we make every day.
